Ekisaakaate kya Nnabagereka in Boston

This an annual royal mentorship and cultural holiday camp in Uganda’s Buganda Kingdom. Started in 2000 by Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda, the Queen of Buganda, it teaches children and youth ages 6 to 18 good manners, core cultural values (obuntubulamu), and modern life skills.

Core Focus and Activities

  • Teaches traditional Buganda norms, respect, and good behavior (obugunjufu).
  • Offers modern training in computer literacy, coding, and digital safety.
  • Holds workshops on financial literacy, leadership, and mental health awareness.
  • Combats peer pressure, bullying, and low self-esteem in youth. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Camp Organization

  • Hosted during school holiday periods at selected school campuses.
